Connect Lead Companion to Zapier

Set up the Zapier Integration with Lead Companion.

Zapier is an online tool that lets you automate workflows between different apps without coding. Zapier connects the web apps you already use (like Gmail, Slack, Google Sheets, etc.) to Lead Companion, so you can share data and trigger actions automatically.

How to connect Lead Companion with Zapier

  1. Log in to Zapier, or register if you don’t have an account

  2. In the desktop version of Lead Companion, go to Integrations

  3. Click "Connect to Zapier"

What a Zap is and how to create one?

A zap is an automated workflow that connects two or more apps to automate repetitive tasks without coding. Each Zap consists of a trigger, which is the event that starts the automation (e.g., a new email arriving), and one or more actions, which are the subsequent tasks performed (e.g., saving the email as a draft or creating a to-do item).

  1. In Zapier, choose Lead Companion as your trigger app and select a trigger (e.g., New Contact Created).

  2. Pick your destination app (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, Google Sheets) and choose the action.

  3. Map fields from Lead Companion (name, email, company, notes, score) to your destination.

  4. Test & publish your Zap. You’re live.

Tip: Start with one simple Zap. You can always add more once you see it’s working.

How to send a contact from Lead Companion to Zapier

To keep data clean and prevent accidental exports, Lead Companion uses a simple, permission‑aware flow:

  • Anyone (Viewer, Editor, Admin) can mark a contact as Documented once the details look complete (name, company, email, notes, score, etc.).

  • When a contact is marked Documented, it moves to the Hand-over list that is visible only to Editors and Admins.

  • Editors/Admins can then review that list and click Send to Zapier to export the contact to your chosen tools (CRM, Slack, Sheets, etc.).

What each role can do

Different user roles can do different things:

  • Viewer: Capture leads, add notes, and mark as Documented. Cannot send to Zapier.

  • Editor / Admin: All of the above plus access the Ready to send list and Send to Zapier.

You can mark a contact as documented on any contact view via "Mark as Documented".

As Editor or Admins go to Contacts → Ready to send: review, multi‑select, Send to Zapier.
